The development of solar facilities further diversifies AMP’s Member power supply portfolio, which also includes natural gas, advanced coal, and hydroelectric sources, as well as wholesale market purchases and power purchase agreements that incorporate additional hydro, solar, wind and landfill gas.

The AMP Solar Phase I Project consists of the Napoleon Solar Facility, a 3.54-megawatt (MW) (AC) solar project located in Napoleon, Ohio.

The Solar Phase II Project includes the 20-MW Bowling Green Solar Facility, one of the largest solar facilities in Ohio, as well as smaller projects in Member communities in Ohio, Virginia, Michigan and Delaware.

*Note that AMP, on behalf of its Members, sells all or a portion of the renewable energy certificates created by its renewable energy projects, power purchase agreements and joint ventures to help reduce its wholesale power costs.
