Managerial Excellence Award

This award recognizes a leader of a municipal electric system who leads their public power system to excellence.

Eligibility

  • A leader of a municipal electric system of any size.
  • Must be a top administrator/leader and not an elected official (unless that is the top administrator).
  • Nominee must have been with their organization for at least five years.

Criteria

Nominees should:

  • Demonstrate exceptional leadership that strengthens organizational performance, culture and strategic direction
  • Cultivate employee development, collaboration and innovation, resulting in a positive and high‑performing workplace
  • Advance public power values through meaningful contributions to the community, industry engagement and professional leadership

Recognition

  • Only one award can be given each year.
