Lisa McAlister joined the AMP staff in 2012 as deputy general counsel FERC/RTO affairs and was named to her current position in February 2017. McAlister currently serves as the chair of APPA’s Legal Section, having previously served as vice chair. As an active participant on PJM committees, she served three years on the PJM Board Nominating Committee as the Electric Distributor Sector representative, and represented the Electric Distributor Sector on various PJM Board Liaison Committees and Grid 20/20 panels. She previously served as Of Counsel at Bricker & Eckler, LLC, where she represented the Ohio Manufacturers’ Association and helped found the OMA Energy Group. Prior to that, she was a partner-elect at McNees Wallace & Nurick, LLC, where she represented large commercial and industrial customers on energy issues, as well as natural gas utilities. She holds a bachelor’s degree from Elon University and law degree from the Ohio State University Michael E. Moritz College of Law. As general counsel of regulatory affairs, McAlister advises the organization regarding regulatory oversight and compliance matters and advocates on behalf of AMP before state, regional and federal regulatory agencies.
