Project Details

The Pioneer Second Source Reinforcement Project will provide a secondary source of power to the Village of Pioneer. The project involves construction of a new 69-kilovolt (kV) transmission line (approximately three miles in length) between the new Kexon Substation and the existing AMPT transmission interconnection with ATSI located along U.S. Highway 20. AMPT will also build an approximately one-mile long 69-kV transmission line located south of Holiday City, between an existing AMPT 69-kV transmission line and ATSI’s Snyder Substation near U.S. Highway 20A.
