Patrick McCullar Joins AMP as Interim Vice President of Finance ​

COLUMBUS, OH: American Municipal Power, Inc. (AMP) is pleased to announce that Patrick E. McCullar has joined AMP as interim vice president of finance.

McCullar brings decades of experience in public power to AMP, having previously served since 1997 as the first president and CEO of the Delaware Municipal Electric Corporation Inc. (DEMEC), a Delaware joint action agency and wholesale electric utility with eight members. In addition, he represented DEMEC on the AMP Board of Trustees from 2011 to 2021 and served as treasurer from May 2016 until September 2021. He has more than 40 years of experience working for government. McCullar played a principal leadership role in the PJM Interconnection Stakeholder Process as past chair of the PJM Member's Committee, serving on the PJM Board Liaison Committee, Finance Committee, Nominating Committee and as representative of the Electric Distributor's Sector. He is also a founding member of the PJM Public Power Coalition, which represents load serving entities and transmission dependent utilities at PJM. He is a past chair of the Delmarva Peninsula Planning Association, and he has been a board member of the American Public Power Association and the Transmission Access Policy Study Group. McCullar also has testified before Congress, and is a frequent technical speaker at FERC, PJM and national technical conferences.

In his new position, McCullar will work with the Chief Financial Officer to provide leadership for AMP’s finance and accounting team.

McCullar began his career in finance and worked extensively in the public sector for municipalities, including Kansas City, Missouri; St. Charles, Missouri; and Newark, Delaware. He also worked for the Kansas City Chiefs Football Club. He holds degrees in business administration and accounting from the University of Missouri.
