COLUMBUS, OH: American Municipal Power, Inc. (AMP) is pleased to recognize a number of member utilities that were awarded Reliable Public Power Provider (RP3) designation from the American Public Power Association (APPA).

The RP3 designation, which is a three-year designation, recognizes public power utilities that demonstrate proficiency in four key disciplines: reliability, safety, workforce development and system improvement. 

The following AMP members received 2020 RP3 Diamond Level (highest level) designation, awarded to utilities that successfully meet 98-100 percent of the RP3 program criteria.:

• Cuyahoga Falls Electric Department
• Hamilton Department of Electric
• Hillsdale Board of Public Utilities
• Minster Electric Department
• Paducah Power System
• Westerville Electric Division 

The following AMP members received 2020 RP3 Platinum Level designation awarded to utilities that successfully meet 90-97 percent of the RP3 program criteria:

• Jackson Center Municipal Electric System
• Montpelier Municipal Utility
• Napoleon Light & Power
• Princeton Electric Plant Board

The following AMP members received 2020 RP3 Gold Level designation awarded to utilities that successfully meet 80-89 percent of the RP3 program criteria
